SEO Exporter — Privacy Policy

An honest note before the details

Unlike MarkGrab and CleanJSON, SEO Exporter is not a zero-network extension — it wouldn't be able to do its job if it were. It fetches URLs and validates a license key. This page describes exactly what network activity happens, and nothing more happens beyond it.

What we collect

Single-page view(free) reads SEO metadata (title, description, headings, Open Graph tags, etc.) from the page you're currently viewing, entirely in your browser. This never touches the network.

Batch audit (Pro) fetches only the URLs youexplicitly list (or load from a sitemap.xml you provide), to read the same SEO metadata from each of them. It never fetches anything you haven't listed, and batches are capped at 50 URLs. The host permission needed for this is requested at the moment you click "Start batch audit" — never bundled into installation — and can be revoked at any time from the extension's Options page.

License validation (Pro): if you activate a Pro license, the license key you enter is sent directly to Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record, to confirm it's valid. We never see, store, or forward your license key ourselves — Lemon Squeezy validates it directly from your browser.

SEO Exporter does not track you across sites, does not sell data to anyone, and does not use any advertising SDK.

Analytics

SEO Exporter is instrumented to record anonymous, non-identifying product events — install, first activation, starting a checkout, and activating a Pro license — using an internal, privacy-first library. No analytics transport is currently connected — these events are not sent anywhere today. If that changes in the future, this page will be updated to say so precisely.

Permissions

  • activeTab + scripting — show the single-page SEO overlay only when you click the icon or use the keyboard shortcut.
  • storage — cache your license state and batch results locally.
  • offscreen— a hidden document used to parse fetched page HTML (Chrome's background service worker has no DOM of its own).
  • Optional host permission (http://*/*, https://*/*) — requested only when you start a batch audit, never at install. Revocable anytime from Options.
